On 20 September, Sadiqoun member Ahmad Adnan, speaking on Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official), said the bloc had enough MPs to question PMF chairman Faleh al-Fayyad after his absence from parliament. Adnan alleged that Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi had informed al-Fayyad of the reported Saudi strike, and he distinguished surrendering factional weapons from regulating or restricting them.

“Questioning awaits Fayyad after his absence from parliament; we have enough parliamentary numbers to question Fayyad; restricting or regulating weapons falls within one context; the term surrender differs from regulating or restricting weapons.”

Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) moved from carrying outside advocacy for parliamentary action to carrying a Sadiqoun member’s assertion that the bloc has the numbers to act, while Adnan preserved a weapons-regulation formula short of surrender.
