On 19 September, political analyst Haitham al-Sabti, speaking on Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official), called Faleh al-Fayyad, the PMF chairman, before parliament to explain a reported Saudi strike and the evacuation of PMF facilities. He said parliament should question al-Fayyadh, collect signatures for his removal and identify those opposing the summons.

“Calling al-Fayyadh to parliament is a constitutional and legal step to seek clarification about the Saudi strike; parliament is not showing seriousness in taking the necessary measures against al-Fayyadh and collecting signatures to remove him; parliament should proceed with the summons and fully implement the legislative procedures, including questioning.”
