On 20 September, Sadiqoun member Ahmad Adnan, speaking on Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official), said questioning awaited PMF chairman Faleh al-Fayyad, that Sadiqoun had enough MPs to question him and that Fayyad had sent delegations and intermediaries seeking reconsideration. Financial and economic expert Wahbi al-Khafaf, speaking separately on the same channel, credited Sadiqoun with collecting more than 60 signatures for fuel-crisis oversight; he called questioning an oversight tool, urged preventive oversight, identified Strait of Hormuz disruption as one factor in the crisis and called for state risk-management planning.

“Collecting more than 60 parliamentary signatures counts in favor of the Sadiqoun bloc activating parliamentary oversight... Questioning is an oversight tool, and citizens want to know the circumstances of the fuel-products crisis... Disruption in the Strait of Hormuz is a factor affecting the fuel crisis... The state must build its scenarios around risk-management policy before crises occur.”
