On 11 September, Qais al-Khazali, AAH’s secretary-general, reaffirmed Dr. Laith al-Khazali as Sadiqoun’s deputy-prime-minister nominee and said allies inside and outside the Coordination Framework could comfortably pass what AAH considers its entitlement. Hayder al-Barzanchi, head of the Naram Sin Center for Dialogue and Development, speaking on Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official), separately blamed political envy and broken pledges, said the prime minister remained committed to the agreement and denied a US rejection of the nominee.
