On 29 October, Qais al-Khazali media office (AAH — official leader office) announced Qais al-Khazali, AAH’s secretary-general, received Maysan MPs from different political forces in Baghdad to discuss Shib border crossing’s closure. Its account attributed direct economic and development harm to the closure, while Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media) reported his call for follow-up with the relevant authorities to reach solutions serving Maysan residents and the public interest.
