On 10 September, AAH secretary-general Qais al-Khazali told Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) that AAH was fully ready to separate fighters from its political movement. He said separation between armed factions and political movements had not occurred, demanded that the rule apply to everyone and described it as strengthening Iraq and the PMF.
