On 15 September, political-affairs researcher Issam Hussein said on Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) that factions were proceeding with weapons restriction only in exchange for unspecified compensation and had the right to impose conditions. Political-affairs researcher Nawal al-Musawi said faction conditions on the state were illogical and unlawful, praised AAH’s disengagement and weapons-restriction position, and described Abu Alaa al-Walai, KSS’s secretary-general, as engaged with the state project and weapons restriction.
