On 15 September, political researcher Issam Hussein told Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) that factions were proceeding with weapons control but were entitled to compensation and conditions, and that Iran had neither obstructed nor intervened in the process. Political researcher Nawal al-Musawi, appearing on the same programme, said faction-imposed conditions were illogical and illegal, rejected state-faction confrontation and praised AAH secretary-general Qais al-Khazali and KSS secretary-general Abu Alaa al-Walai for state-oriented weapons-control positions. Neither guest was identified as an AAH official.
