On 18 September, political analyst Hussein al-Ibrahimi, speaking on Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official), called concentrating and regulating weapons under state authority necessary for security, development, investment, services and infrastructure projects. He said factions should be contained in recognition of their past role and that the absence of foreign forces would make them more comfortable handing over their weapons.
