On 14 September, Baghdad University political science professor Dr Ahmad al-Meyali told Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) that Sadiqoun held 28 parliamentary seats, was being denied its governmental entitlement and could take the Interior Ministry because of its security experience. Iqtidar Party member Nasim Abdullah said the Coordination Framework would discuss ministry-distribution mechanisms, that Sadiqoun was underrepresented and that the cabinet-completion session would not be soon.

“Sadiqoun is the principal bloc within the Coordination Framework because it holds 28 parliamentary seats… the Sadiqoun Movement has security-sector experience and can take the Interior Ministry.”
الصادقون تعتبر الكتلة الأساسية داخل الإطار التنسيقي كونها تمتلك 28 مقعدا نيابيا… حركة الصادقون تمتلك خبرة في الجانب الأمني ويمكنها استلام الداخلية
Compared with Abdullah’s process-focused account, al-Meyali’s proposal makes control of a core security ministry the concrete subject of Sadiqoun’s cabinet pressure.
