On 28 October, Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official owned media) reported that Maysan tribal sheikhs gave the government three days over Shib border crossing’s closure. KH-, Badr Organization- and Nujaba-linked outlets also reported reopening demonstrations, with several attributing harm to about 4,000 families’ livelihoods to the closure and KH-linked reports citing higher prices.
