On 7 September, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) carried Sadiqoun MP Ahmad al-Musawi’s accusation that PMF chairman Faleh al-Fayyad negligently failed to warn PMF units of an aggression. Legal expert Jasim al-Musawi, speaking separately on the channel, argued that failure to attend parliamentary questioning should bring dismissal, that concealing information harmful to security forces may carry life imprisonment or the death penalty, and that people harmed by what he called Saudi aggression against PMF headquarters may file criminal cases. Neither appearance announced a formal summons, dismissal motion or criminal filing.

“Parliamentary questioning requires attendance at the legislature; the legislative authority must dismiss anyone who fails to attend; anyone who concealed information harmful to the security forces may be punished with life imprisonment or even death; every citizen harmed by the Saudi aggression against PMF headquarters has the right to file cases before the criminal courts.”
