On 5 September, political analyst Muhammad al-Zaydawi and security expert Wathiq al-Jabri, speaking on Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official), demanded that PMF chairman Faleh al-Fayyad appear before parliament and disclose what he knew about a reported Saudi strike on PMF headquarters. Al-Zaydawi alleged that the prime minister had warned the PMF leadership and faulted Fayyad for not evacuating the headquarters; al-Jabri described delayed notification as a security failure that could have been deliberate and called for intensified parliamentary pursuit.
