Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada’s Jihad Council denied Security and Defence Committee MP Ali Nuhair’s account that the faction had inventoried heavy weapons, missiles, drones and air-defence systems and transferred some equipment to PMF warehouses. The council called the account completely untrue and said Nuhair, an MP from Shibl al-Zaidi’s bloc, had no authority to speak for Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada.

“The Jihad Council of Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada denied statements by Coordination Framework MP Ali Nuhair claiming that it had begun inventorying its weapons for transfer to the Popular Mobilization Commission. It said the MP represented no body authorized to speak for the faction and had no authority to issue positions or statements in its name.”
