On 16 September, MP Jasim Atwan al-Musawi told iNEWS (KSS — affiliated) that Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada categorically denied MP Ali Nuhair’s account that it had begun inventorying weapons for handover and said Nuhair was not authorized to speak for the faction. Nuhair, a Security and Defence Committee MP from Shibl al-Zaidi’s bloc, had said documents showed an inventory covering heavy weapons, missiles, drones and air-defence systems, with some weapons transferred to PMF warehouses.
