In the militia space, iNEWS (Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada — affiliated) and Al-Nujaba TV (Harakat al-Nujaba — official) carried urgent-tagged graphics this morning quoting Naim Qassem, Hezbollah's secretary-general calling to prepare for a major battle; by evening the network had added no Iraqi target, no timetable and no faction position of its own, and no militia claim of responsibility for any act of violence appears in today's material. The channel-by-channel account is in the Militia Digest published beside this briefing.
Two channels of separate parentage — iNEWS (Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada — affiliated) and Al-Nujaba TV (Harakat al-Nujaba — official) — carried this morning within seventeen minutes urgent-tagged graphics quoting Naim Qassem, Hezbollah's secretary-general calling to prepare for a major battle and to confront those implementing the Israeli project as the enemy is confronted. By evening no further carriage in this network had added an Iraqi target, a timetable or a faction position of its own, and the speaker's identity remains unestablished in the material in hand. Against that language, the same network spent the day relaying state security housekeeping rather than any commitment of its own. No militia claim of responsibility for any act of violence appears anywhere in today's material.
On the security file, the Border Forces commander, Muhammad Abd al-Wahhab Sukar al-Saidi, said the frontier situation is normal and that movements on the Syrian side are happening with Iraqi knowledge and coordination — carried on the evening of 4 August by Al-Nujaba TV (Nujaba — official) and Watan TV (Badr Organization — affiliated). Within the same five minutes, Shabab al-Islam (Ashab al-Kahf — owned, non-official) relayed, citing only unnamed Iraqi media sources, that columns of the Syrian 66th and 86th Divisions had deployed opposite Abu Kamal, preceded by Iraqi Border Guard, Army and Popular Mobilization Forces anti-armour directorate reinforcements with drone intelligence in support. Two channels carried a named official calling the border normal while a third, in the same minutes, described a divisional build-up and Iraqi reinforcements — a divergence on one question, with no outside coverage of the reinforcement account in hand.
Still on the security file, Popular Mobilization Forces statements on the Arbaeen operation went out through three faction channels inside roughly 28 minutes this morning: Al-Janoub TV (Harakat al-Jihad wal-Bina — official) posted more than 54,000 personnel participating, Al-Ittijah TV (Kataib Hezbollah — official) the aircraft and thermal cameras, and Watan TV (Badr Organization — affiliated) more than 70 battalions along provincial borders. All three reproduced the PMF's own wording without adding a faction line, and no outside reporting of the figures is in hand. Al-Janoub TV separately published checkpoint footage captioned as reinforced vehicle inspection in Karbala, naming no unit and no threat; the desk's counting finds 13 of 34 watched channels across six networks surging on Karbala since 2 August.
In the militia space, four channels under three different actors carried word-for-word the same single sentence on the evening of 4 August: the Popular Mobilization Forces' Anbar Sector Operations Command has ended its duties in Karbala and returned to Anbar. Al-Nujaba TV (Nujaba — official) posted first at 17:46 with a PMF institutional graphic, Al-Kornet al-Kata'ibi (KSS — affiliated) a minute later, and Al-Ghadeer TV (Badr Organization — official) two minutes after that. No reason, unit detail or faction comment was added by any of them, and there is no reporting of the movement outside the militia channels.
On the weapons file, the claim aired last night on Al-Ahad TV (Asaib Ahl al-Haq — official) by Mahdi Khazaal, head of the Kalima Center for Dialogue, that factions postponed a response to Saudi Arabia until after the Arbaeen visitation found its first echo outside the militia channels today: Shafaq News reported that the State Administration Coalition will review the factions' response to the US-Saudi strikes. No faction has claimed responsibility for any strike on or from Saudi Arabia, and the four factions Khazaal said are withholding their weapons remain unnamed.
On the economy, Al-Ahad TV moved from last night's argument against printing currency to a figure: between 18:19 and 18:30 tonight its programme Burj Muraqaba carried Khalid al-Jabri of the Usul Economic Development Foundation saying Iraq needs over 10 trillion dinars monthly for salaries against revenues of no more than 1.5 trillion, and recovered anti-corruption money covering one day of state spending. In the same hour a second guest, Al-Shaykhli, said Iraq holds $36bn at the U.S. Federal Reserve that Washington "makes excuses" not to release. No other tracked channel carried either figure, and the desk's counting finds 14 of 34 watched channels across five networks surging on the United States since 3 August.
