AAH channel airs claim factions deferred Saudi response past Arbaeen

On the evening of 3 August, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media) aired remarks by Mahdi Khazaal, head of the Kalima Center for Dialogue, on its programme Qabl al-Ghad. He said there is no difference between what the state and the factions adopt, that the factions postponed a response to Saudi Arabia until after the Arbaeen visitation for general considerations, and that leniency toward what he called Saudi aggression would open the door to further attacks; he also said four factions are withholding weapons from confinement and refuse to discuss their arms amid the region's conflict. This rests on a single speaker on a single channel — no faction communiqué, no named faction, and no claim of responsibility appears anywhere in the supplied evidence, which is why the rung is no higher than preponderance.
