Between 18:19 and 18:30 on 4 August, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) aired three captioned segments from its programme Burj Muraqaba: Khalid al-Jabri of the Usul Economic Development Foundation saying Iraq needs over 10 trillion dinars monthly for salaries against revenues of no more than 1.5 trillion; the same speaker saying recovered anti-corruption money covers only one day of state spending; and Al-Shaykhli saying Iraq holds $36bn at the U.S. Federal Reserve which Washington 'makes excuses' not to release. The rung is credible for what was broadcast — the segments are captioned and attributed to named speakers on AAH's own channel — while the figures themselves have no independent line in the collected material.
