Al-Janoub TV reports PMF tightening vehicle screening in Karbala

Shortly after midnight on 4 August 2026, Al-Janoub TV (Harakat al-Jihad wal-Bina — official owned media) published a video captioned "The Popular Mobilization Forces enhance vehicle inspection and screening procedures in the province", tagged to Karbala. Visual review of the clip shows a uniformed man before a road with moving buses and cars, a large green tent, a white pickup and an Iraqi flag; the review notes the specific formation cannot be identified from the imagery. The rung is limited to credible because this rests on one channel's own caption and footage with no second line of support: no unit, no cause and no threat is named, and no outside coverage of the measure appears in the collected material.
