Security Media Cell chief Lt. Gen. Saad Maan said on 12 September that an Iraqi intelligence and security task force had located and seized a drone-launch platform inside Iraq, with forensic and technical work continuing. Press reports connected the platform to Friday night’s attack on Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline and said Saudi authorities traced the launch site to Maysan; the allegation that the seized equipment was used in that attack remains under investigation.
