On 12 September, Unit 10,000 (KH — affiliated) and Al-Ghadeer TV (Badr Organization — official) reported that Major General Ali Abd al-Hussein Kazim had been appointed commander of Maysan Operations. Between those reports, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) attributed the same appointment to “agencies” but named Major General Ali al-Majidi. The reports establish a command change but conflict over the appointee’s identity.
