WHAT HAPPENED

On 9 September, Sadiqoun MP Qaisar al-Jourani said the Coordination Framework had agreed to four deputy prime ministers, that Sadiqoun wanted the Interior Ministry and that the cabinet map would be reconsidered if Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi’s proposed deputies were not approved. Sadiqoun spokesman and MP Muhammad al-Baldawi said the points system entitled the bloc to two ministries, while political analyst Muhammad al-Fandi named Interior and Labour as its alternative allocation. State of Law Coalition leader Bilal al-Nasiri said State of Law would proceed with the Framework and would not lead a movement rejecting the deputy-premier posts.
