On 6 September, Al-Asas Parliamentary Bloc head Alaa al-Haidari was captioned by Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) as saying that selecting Laith al-Khazali as deputy prime minister was Sadiqoun’s entitlement. He also said Americans had no right to object, although the caption did not identify an American official or establish that an objection had been made.
