On 21 September, Iram News cited private information and an Iraqi political source close to the Coordination Framework as saying most faction heavy weapons, missiles and drones had not been surrendered. It reported a proposed transfer of a substantial portion to PMF warehouses, where the weapons would leave daily use but could return to combat if the United States attacked Iran; later, PMF military media director Muhannad al-Aqabi said the weapons would be reorganized under federal supervision rather than surrendered and rejected attacks on Erbil or any Iraqi province.
