On 3 September, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) carried political researcher Mohammed al-Fandi accusing Faleh al-Fayyad of boycotting parliament, threatening state prestige, neglecting his duty and obstructing the PMF law. Political affairs commentator Anwar al-Anzi accused Fayyadh of failing to report attacks on the PMF, while an unidentified martyr’s father called him negligent and responsible for the blood of martyrs.

Compared with criticism confined to parliamentary conduct, the later items widened the public dispute to Fayyadh’s handling of attacks on the PMF and responsibility toward fighters’ families.
