Badr Organization political office head Mohammed Naji was quoted saying the factions will not allow the prime minister to hand over the resistance's weapons by force — the sharpest answer yet to Prime Minister al-Zaidi's drive to confine weapons to the state, but carried by iNEWS (KSS — affiliated) rather than a Badr-owned channel, with no Badr-issued text in hand. Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official) carried Hoquq bloc MP Mohammed Jabbar al-Hasnawi saying the weapons cannot be surrendered, and Kataib Hezbollah's Wasit representation head Muhammad al-Safi set an end to occupation and independence of the economy as conditions, arguing the arsenal should be strengthened rather than removed; the channel-by-channel record sits in the militia digest beside this one, which also carries Kurdistan24's report that Badr warned disarmament could trigger civil war. Dozens of 'fake' Popular Mobilization headquarters have been closed, Amwaj reported, with ambiguities remaining, and the prime minister's spokesman marked his first 100 days as a new phase of security stability.

Still on the security file, Iraq's Security Media Cell said there is no indication the drones that struck around Erbil late on 13 August were launched from Iraqi territory — an official denial issued while the Iraqi intelligence and defence delegation was in Riyadh, and with no faction having claimed the strikes in the material collected. Shafaq set the coordination against the Mecca defence pact question, asking whether Baghdad's stance amounts to strategic neutrality or growing isolation.

On the economy, the oil ministry said August exports have rebounded to 2 million barrels a day with new pipelines planned, a level Asharq al-Awsat called the highest since the start of the war, while Rudaw reported the same day that plummeting exports cast a shadow over the 2027 budget draft. A lawmaker said parliament will hold the budget's first reading next week.

Still on the economy, Baghdad detained an electricity ministry undersecretary in what Asharq al-Awsat described as a stepped-up anti-corruption campaign, the second senior arrest in two days after the Nineveh police chief was held over a bribe. The detention comes as a heatwave reaching 50°C strains the grid the ministry runs.

Kataib Hezbollah's Wasit representation head Muhammad al-Safi went further on Al-Ittijah, setting independence of decision-making and of the economy plus an end to occupation as conditions and arguing the arsenal should be strengthened, not removed.

In the militia space, Nujaba's own channel pulled the other way on the same clock. Al-Nujaba TV published a report saying Nujaba stresses preserving internal stability and avoiding clashes between the security agencies, in the same afternoon hours that KH and KSS channels carried the red lines. The report names no incident, no counterpart and no speaker.

On the strikes the morning edition reported through Sadiqoun bloc MPs — the alleged Saudi attack on Popular Mobilization headquarters, still described in no independent account the desk holds — Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) aired a security and political researcher calling it a "Saudi-American aggression" and a sovereignty breach, demanding that whoever failed to warn the struck headquarters be punished and that Iraq answer with a firm response including economic measures. He said Riyadh presented no evidence its territory was struck from Iraqi soil, objected to the Iraqi military delegation travelling to Saudi Arabia, and said Riyadh should have come to Baghdad to apologise. The speaker is a guest, not an AAH official, and no militia has claimed any retaliation. Iraq's Security Media Cell, separately, said there is no indication the drones that targeted Erbil were launched from Iraqi territory — the first outside line on the 13 August attacks that four faction networks reported and none claimed.

On the domestic front, AAH's Al-Ahad TV turned an alleged assault on its own Basra correspondent into a campaign against the oil minister. Across roughly 95 minutes it ran at least ten items carrying Iraqi Observatory for Press Freedoms demands that the Ministry of Oil apologise and open an urgent investigation, calling the withdrawal of journalists' badges a violation, backing a boycott of ministry events and appealing to the prime minister's office. By evening the channel aired a Basra Journalists Syndicate member saying the list of channels admitted to the Faiha field came from the oil minister personally out of fear of awkward questions — then, twelve minutes later, the minister calling the exclusion an individual error. No other tracked channel carried the incident.

Also in the militia space, Badr's Al-Ghadeer TV and Al-Nujaba TV carried the same unnamed speaker, "Sheikh Qasim", against the Iraqi authorities within the same hour. Al-Ghadeer ran the lines that the authorities had failed on economic and social challenges, that "what is happening is surrender, and we do not accept it", and the challenge of whether they had answered Katz and Netanyahu with a position; Al-Nujaba TV posted his demand that they admit failure and return to their people for a unified position. Earlier the same channel ran quote-cards attributed to him saying the war is existential and was met with a Karbala-like confrontation, naming no operation, unit or date. Neither channel identifies the speaker's faction.

Still in the militia space, Jehad Brothers Team (Nujaba — affiliated) and Shabab al-Islam (Ashab al-Kahf — owned/non-official media) relayed the same Lebanon-focused address within half an hour, both carrying refusal to accept violation of Lebanese sovereignty, refusal to surrender despite an admitted imbalance of power, and the line that stored anger "has a time and can explode." The Jehad Brothers Team post alone extended that line to those "working against the resistance and its people" — a category of adversary the Ashab al-Kahf version does not name. Unit 10,000 struck a parallel note on Iran, answering a promised week of economic isolation with the formula that if besieged economically they are the sons of Ramadan, and if besieged militarily, the sons of Ashura. No claim of responsibility for any action accompanies any of it.
