The Militia Digest
The pre-dawn hours brought the window's one operational event: beginning at 03:59 UTC, five militia channels — Sabereen News (Kataib Hezbollah — affiliated), Unit 10,000 (KH — affiliated), Shabab al-Islam (Ashab al-Kahf — owned), Al-Ahad TV (Asaib Ahl al-Haq — official) and Jehad Brothers Team (Nujaba — affiliated) — reported rockets striking the Muwaffaq al-Salti airbase in Jordan within one hour, Sabereen moving first and Jehad Brothers repeating its "two rockets… directly" wording word-for-word. The networks diverge on authorship: the KH channels alone brand the fire "Haidari", the other three report explosions without naming a firing party.
No Iraqi militia issued a claim of responsibility, and no Jordanian or American statement on it is in evidence.
Hours later the space filled with retribution language nobody signed. At 07:28 Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official) posted a quoted Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps line, "the aggressor will receive his punishment today", echoed within three minutes by Shabab al-Islam and Jehad Brothers Team — attributed to the IRGC, not issued in the channels' own names, with no target or means named.
Al-Ahad TV separately aired guest Adnan al-Kanaani saying Iraqis could overrun Saudi Arabia within hours "like Kuwait" though a military response "could be costly", and iNEWS (Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada — affiliated) relayed Khafaji saying "aggression must be answered in kind" while faulting the absence of committees on Gulf states' allegations of bombardment from Iraq. Desk counting puts 21 of 34 watched channels across 9 networks surged on the Saudi defence ministry since 29 July.
The funerals carried the day's sharpest split. Al-Nujaba TV (Nujaba — official) and Al-Ghadeer TV (Badr Organization — official) posted identical wording within two minutes attributing PMF fighter Haider Mansour al-Shubaki's death to "American–Saudi bombing that targeted Popular Mobilization headquarters"; Al-Ahad TV ran the same Najaf funeral naming neither the dead man nor any perpetrator. Sabereen News relayed a PMF authority notice calling Iraqis to same-day processions in Karbala at 17:00 and Najaf at 21:00 for Iraqis and "advisors" killed in a "treacherous American–Saudi aggression", with no names, count or dates; Shabab al-Islam carried the same text half an hour later.
Press reports the same morning carry Muqtada al-Sadr blaming "reckless" militias for attracting the strikes — the opposite causal account of one casualty set, reported at headline level only, with no faction reply naming him. An urgent security plan after the strikes was announced by a government spokesperson, and Sadiqoon urged an emergency parliamentary session on them.
On the domestic file the two most active networks worked the same question with different instruments. Unit 10,000 attacked Iraqi state television by name for broadcasting marjaiya sermons on confining weapons to the state, dating them to the ISIS war and "the chaos of Tishreen" and calling their use an attempt to distort opinion about a "Zionist-American plot" to strip the Islamic Resistance of its arms. In the same hour Al-Ahad TV published the Sadiqoun bloc's letter asking that a PMF structural law be tabled, signatory list attached.
On corruption, Badr, AAH and KSS outlets reproduced the Integrity Commission's Diwaniyah sweep — 30 arrest and search warrants and seized disbursement documents valued above 9 billion dinars — with nothing added, while Ansar Allah al-Awfiya's official channel alone carried faction-authored demands for an amended Integrity Commission law and "where did you get this" wealth checks, an hour ahead of them; Watan TV and Al-Ahad also relayed the Diwaniya council's own arrest announcement within a minute of each other. The fraud probe was independently reported.
