Unit 10,000 (KH — affiliated) posted at 11:07 today that the Iraqi state channel, via the state news agency, had broadcast marjaiya sermons addressing "confining weapons in the hands of the state" — one from the period of the ISIS attack, another during "the chaos of Tishreen" — calling this an attempt "to confuse matters and distort public opinion" about what it described as a "Zionist-American plot, on American orders, aimed at stripping the Islamic Resistance in Iraq of its weapons." The post told "the channel of the authority, which does not represent public opinion in the Iraqi street, nor the aspirations of the religious marjaiya", that the marjaiya had long backed "the mujahideen" in Gaza and Lebanon and called them heroes, and asserted that "the disciplined weapon of the resistance is what protects Iraq's resources." No other tracked actor was observed addressing the marjaiya-and-weapons question in the collected window; AAH's Al-Ahad TV in the same hour was publishing Diwaniya corruption items and the PMF structural law document.
Religious legitimacy for the factions' weapons is being argued over by a KH-affiliated channel against Iraqi state media, which sets the terms any disarmament or PMF-restructuring push will have to answer.
