Ansar Allah al-Awfiya deputy Murtada al-Saadi demands an amended Integrity Commission law and "where did you get this" wealth checks, the only faction voice added to a Diwaniyah sweep that Badr, AAH and KSS outlets relayed without comment

WHAT HAPPENED

The Federal Integrity Commission announced 30 arrest and search warrants against current and former officials in Diwaniyah municipality, seizure of disbursement documents valued above 9 billion dinars along with luxury vehicles and cash, and execution against 15 employees and 3 contractors in coordination with the Falcons Cell over inflated procurement prices; Watan TV and Al-Ghadeer TV (both Badr Organization — affiliated and official respectively), Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) and iNEWS (KSS — affiliated) carried it in near-identical wording between 06:48 and 07:06 this morning, Badr's two outlets word-for-word ("النزاهة تطيح بشبكة فساد كبرى في بلدية الديوانية"). Ahead of all of them, at 05:52, the official channel of Ansar Allah al-Awfiya published deputy Murtada al-Saadi saying all measures "were issued by judicial orders and decisions, based on information and investigations begun in 2025," that "corruption files are not limited to specific names" and further defendants may emerge, and demanding recovery of public funds, legislation tightening oversight of executive institutions, activation of the "من أين لك هذا" ("where did you get this") principle, and amendment of the Integrity Commission law "to grant it broader powers to pursue the corrupt." No tracked actor in the collected window disputed the operation or its selectivity.

WHY IT MATTERS

The only faction-authored content on a 30-warrant provincial sweep is a call to widen the prosecuting body's powers and to apply wealth-source tests to officials, which sets the terms on which future warrants would be issued and defended.
