On 22 September, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio accused Kataib Hezbollah of firing into Saudi Arabia in the attack on its main oil pipeline. Reconstruction and Development Bloc MP Mansour al-Baiji, speaking on Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official), instead said Israeli intelligence cells inside Iraq had attacked Saudi Arabia. Al-Monitor had reported that the Iraqi government acknowledged the drones originated in Maysan; that account establishes an origin, not who launched them.
