On 8 September, Sadiqoun MP Ahmad al-Musawi told Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) that national forces and the resistance should support state weapons control, but that it must cover all Iraqi territory, including the Kurdistan Region. He said politically directed Peshmerga movements violated law and the constitution; political analyst Mufid al-Saidi separately said the process must include every component and follow a studied plan. Al-Saidi’s 30 September date matches the timetable previously stated by government spokesman Haider al-Aboudi for ending coalition and foreign-force presence, including advisers.
