On 30 October, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media) carried political analyst Adnan al-Sarraj’s demand that the media regulator prevent satellite channels from hosting figures who insult the PMF; he also alleged that US actors were linking the PMF to Iran to obstruct its law. Security expert Abbas al-Zaidi separately alleged that criticism was deliberately timed to damage Iraq–Iran relations, and said Iranian men had left their families and died defending Iraq. The channel also relayed the PMF Authority’s denial that Iranian advisers received Iraqi government salaries during the war against terrorist groups.
