On 29 October, parliamentary Oil and Gas Committee member Alaa al-Haidari called on Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media) for audits of numerous political figures’ bank accounts, describing unacceptable wealth accumulation and praising continuing government anti-corruption measures. He also said efforts were underway to appoint a replacement for Adnan al-Jumaili whom he described as facing corruption suspicions.
