WHAT HAPPENED

On 26 September, Sadiqoun MPs called for an explanation of the restrictions on Iranian flights and urged Baghdad to keep its aviation decisions independent; First Deputy Speaker Adnan Faihan said Iraq must not join a blockade of Iran. iNEWS (KSS — affiliated) reported that the Muntasirun bloc (KSS) condemned the restrictions and called for urgent parliamentary action; it attributed to Faihan a conditional extraordinary session if the decision was not reversed.
