On 15 September, Falih al-Khazali, KSS's Muntasirun bloc head and an MP, endorsed what he called ten conditions concerning the resistance and its weapons. He said sovereignty was indivisible and non-selective, described the conditions as national, derived from the government programme and within the Iraqi Constitution, and said some MPs and political figures did not understand the weapons' national importance. iNEWS (KSS — affiliated) and Al-Kornet al-Kata'ibi (KSS — affiliated) carried the position directly, while press reports described a government demand for factions to disarm by 30 September.
