He described the crossing with Iran as important to federal-budget revenue and said Maysan receives a 50% revenue share.

“Head of the Muntasirun parliamentary bloc Falih al-Khazali: We call on the government to clarify the reason for closing the Shib crossing with Iran, which is among the important border crossings supporting the federal budget with financial revenues, with 50 percent of revenues for Maysan Governorate, and for the answer to reach us within 15 days.”
