On 4 November, Watan TV (Badr Organization — affiliated/aligned media) carried MP Abu Turab al-Tamimi’s statement that Badr insists on the parliamentary Security and Defense Committee chairmanship and its nominee to pass the PMF law in the form drafted by the PMF Commission. He alleged that any other bloc holding the chair would yield to American pressure, and linked the bill’s delay and objections to Badr’s nominee to external efforts to block its chairmanship.
