On 1 November, Al-Ghadeer TV (Badr Organization — official owned media) reported Hadi al-Amiri, Badr Organization’s secretary-general, received PMF chairman Faleh al-Fayyad in Baghdad and that both called for completing the legislative procedures needed to pass the PMF law as soon as possible. Watan TV (Badr Organization — affiliated/aligned media) carried the same legislative demand and the meeting’s account of PMF support for security, government construction and development plans, and public services.

“Badr Organization secretary-general Hadi al-Amiri received PMF Authority chairman Faleh al-Fayyad at his office in Baghdad today, Sunday. The meeting discussed the main national security and political issues and matters concerning the PMF, foremost the PMF law, with both sides stressing the need to complete the legislative procedures necessary to pass it as soon as possible.”
