On 31 October, Sadiqoun member Israa al-Hujaimi (AAH), speaking on Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media), said the bloc had set no ceiling on signatures, criticized MPs who had not signed to place the PMF bill on the agenda, and blamed the PMF chairman’s retirement age for obstruction. National Tribal Current political-body head Abdulrahman al-Jazairi alleged that Kurdish and Sunni MPs had secured removal of al-Muhandis Company and that four to five provisions had been deleted, while identifying Sadiqoun and Badr as the strongest advocates of passage. Reconstruction and Development Coalition member Muhammad al-Mutlabi demanded resolution of the bill, while political-affairs researcher Haider al-Barzanji attributed some objections to fear of upsetting America.
