On 28 October, Al-Ghadeer TV (Badr Organization — official owned media) published Badr Central Political Office head Muhammad Naji Muhammad’s call to preserve PMF Law No. 40 of 2016 independently of service-and-retirement legislation. He said the existing law provides the PMF’s official legal standing within the armed forces, called for service, rank and retirement disputes to be addressed separately, and instructed Badr MPs not to pass a merger during forthcoming discussions.

نؤكد على ضرورة الحفاظ على استقلالية قانون الحشد الشعبي رقم 40 لسنة 2016، وعدم دمجه مع قانون الخدمة والتقاعد، لضمان تثبيت الخصوصية القانونية للهيئة وحماية هويتها من التعديلات المستقبلية. معالجة الخلافات المتعلقة بالخدمة والرتب والتقاعد ضمن قانون الخدمة والتقاعد نفسه، مع الإبقاء على قانون الحشد الشعبي مستقلاً وثابتاً. ندعو أعضاء كتلة بدر النيابية إلى الانتباه إلى خطورة دمج القانونين، وعدم تمرير هذه
