On 5 November, Watan TV (Badr Organization — affiliated/aligned media) carried MP Abu Turab al-Tamimi’s (Badr Organization) statement that Badr had submitted a nominee to chair parliament’s Security and Defense Committee but was surprised on voting day when its nominee was not advanced or voted on. He said Badr would not change its policy for a leadership position or accept anything affecting national unity and sovereignty.

“Al-Tamimi: We put forward our candidate for chair of the Security and Defense Committee and were surprised on voting day that our candidate was not advanced or voted on. Al-Tamimi: We are not among those who change their policy for one of the leadership positions, and we do not accept anything that affects the unity and sovereignty of the nation.”
