On August 30, Sabereen News (KH — affiliated) relayed Hadi al-Amiri saying the PMF law would be enacted and describing resistance factions as rational people who defended Iraq, its sovereignty, and fought the occupation and ISIS. Shortly afterward, Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official) reported that a gathering held by Kataib Hezbollah’s Wasit representation rejected handing over weapons and demanded enactment of the PMF law; visual review showed a Kataib Hezbollah flag but did not assess the video’s audio.
