On 10 September, Huquq MP Miqdad al-Khafaji told Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official) that more than 140 MPs had signed in support of enacting the PMF law. He said disagreements remained with the Finance Ministry over some provisions but would be resolved soon, and expressed concern that the continued U.S. presence could be relabelled as training after the announced withdrawal.
