On 25 September, the Hoquq parliamentary bloc rejected reports that Iraqi airports would close to Iranian aviation, characterized the measure as compliance with U.S. pressure, and called on the government not to comply. It urged Iraqis to support Iranian products and reject activities it said would harm Iranians. Sabereen News carried the statement and Al-Ittijah TV published excerpts; press reporting separately described a suspension of Najaf–Iran flights.

We also call on Iraqis to stand against this unjust siege by all possible means, from supporting Iranian products to rejecting activities that contribute to choking the Iranian people.”
