On 1 October, FAA (Ansar Allah al-Awfiya — official social media channel) published a fighters’ message crediting attacks and Haidar al-Gharawi, the faction’s secretary-general, with forcing withdrawal, and declaring readiness for any contingency; minutes later, it published his commitment to end military operations inside Iraq under timelines agreed among factions, the Coordination Framework committee and the government. Al-Ghadeer TV (Badr Organization — official owned media) relayed the commitment as an announcement that operations had ended, while press reports carried Nujaba’s rejection of continuing U.S. presence through security companies or advisers and its demand for a smaller U.S. Embassy. Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi’s announced weapons-control roadmap sets completion by 30 June 2027 and reserves war-and-peace decisions to constitutional authorities.

The government’s weapons-control deadline, Ansar Allah al-Awfiya’s agreed-timeline commitment and Nujaba’s restrictions on residual U.S. presence are different public terms; none should be substituted for the others.
