Former Peshmerga official Jabbar al-Yawar denies PM control over Peshmerga – AAH-owned Al-Ahad TV

WHAT HAPPENED

On 21 September, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) carried political-affairs researcher Khalid Abu Iraq calling Peshmerga unification incomplete, seeking disengagement and demanding action on 16 Kurdish armed groups. The channel also carried former Peshmerga Ministry secretary-general Jabbar al-Yawar saying the Peshmerga were regional special forces that the prime minister had no right to control.
