On 10 September, Al-Ghadeer TV (Badr Organization — official) and iNEWS (KSS — affiliated) attributed to Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief spokesman Sabah al-Numan a final 30 September deadline for ending the international coalition mission in Iraq. Watan TV (Badr Organization — affiliated) later added his statements that foreign forces were accelerating withdrawal under Prime Minister and Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Ali al-Zaidi’s office and that ending the mission represented government will and the culmination of Iraqi sovereignty. Security adviser Qasim al-Araji had separately said 30 September applied to the coalition only.
