On 11 September, the Sadiqoun bloc said Qais al-Khazali, AAH’s secretary-general, supported handling the weapons file within the state. Minutes later, Prime Minister and Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Ali Faleh al-Zaidi’s office announced that Sinjar Resistance factions would begin handing weapons to the state; KSS-affiliated Al-Kornet al-Kata'ibi relayed that eligible members of the Sinjar Resistance and Women’s Units would be integrated into Iraqi security institutions under legal and official frameworks.
