On 7 October, Sabereen News and Unit 10,000 (both KH — affiliated/aligned media) questioned whether salaries and black-market controls protected citizens from the reported increase, and asked where oil revenues went. Outlets linked to AAH, KSS, Nujaba, Harakat al-Jihad wal-Bina and Ashab al-Kahf carried an announced public selling rate of 1,520 dinars per dollar; Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official owned media) subsequently reported 170,000 dinars per $100.
