On 4 September, Rudaw and its Arabic website repeatedly attributed to Nujaba the statement that its view on protecting “resistance weapons” had not changed and that it would not participate in the political process. All four reports used the same wording and identified neither a Nujaba speaker nor the original statement, establishing repeated publication by Rudaw rather than independent corroboration of a fresh Nujaba declaration.
